Met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the elegant capital. The evening is free to feel the city's energy before a welcome dinner of Argentine steak and Malbec.
A guided tour of the 'Paris of South America', Plaza de Mayo, the colourful houses of La Boca, San Telmo's antique charm and the Recoleta cemetery.
A free day to explore the city's markets, cafes and Palermo's boutiques, followed by an evening of tango with a show and dinner in a historic milonga.
A free day to enjoy the capital, an optional trip to the Tigre delta or an estancia for a gaucho barbecue, or simply the parks and restaurants of Palermo.
You fly north to the subtropical jungle and Iguazu, gateway to the falls. Settle in and take a first walk in the rainforest, alive with butterflies and birds.
A full day at Iguazu, walking the Argentine catwalks to the awesome Devil's Throat and taking in the panoramic Brazilian side, surrounded by the roar and spray of hundreds of cascades.
After a final rainforest morning you are transferred to Iguazu airport for your onward flight or connection, full of natural wonder.

- Currency: The currency is the Argentine Peso, whose value fluctuates; US Dollars in cash can be useful and cards are widely accepted in cities. We brief you on the current money situation, as exchange rules and rates change frequently
- Vast distances: Argentina is the world's eighth-largest country, so itineraries rely on domestic flights between regions such as Buenos Aires, Iguazu, Patagonia and the northwest; these are arranged and included where specified
- Seasons reversed: Argentina is in the southern hemisphere, so summer (December to February) is warm, ideal for Patagonia and the Lake District, while winter (June to August) suits the northwest, the wine country and city breaks
- Patagonia weather: Patagonia is famously windy and changeable even in summer, so pack warm, waterproof layers, a hat and sturdy footwear; the best season for trekking and glaciers is roughly October to April
- Altitude: The northwest around Salta and the high Andes reach significant altitude, so allow time to acclimatise, stay hydrated and take it easy on arrival at height
- Getting around & tipping: Cities are walkable with taxis and rideshares; tipping around ten percent is customary in restaurants and appreciated by guides and drivers. Spanish is the language, though English is common in tourism

Is one day enough for Iguazu Falls?
A full day lets you experience the highlights of both sides, but two days allows a more relaxed exploration and time for a boat ride under the falls or a jungle walk. We can easily add a night; just ask.
Can this be combined with Patagonia or Brazil?
Absolutely — Buenos Aires and Iguazu combine beautifully with Patagonia's glaciers, the Mendoza wine country, or a crossing into Brazil for Rio. We can extend the itinerary to suit your time and interests.
What meals are included?
Daily breakfast is included throughout, along with any meals named in the itinerary such as a welcome dinner, a wine-country lunch or an asado barbecue. Argentina's food, especially its beef and wine, is a highlight, so most other meals are left free with our recommendations.
Are domestic flights included?
Yes — the domestic flights between regions specified in your itinerary, such as Buenos Aires to Iguazu or Patagonia, are arranged and included, along with all airport and hotel transfers, so your journey is seamless.
