The family is met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the capital. Settle in and enjoy a welcome dinner of Argentine steak, with the adventures ahead.
A family tour of the city, the colourful houses of La Boca, the football stadium, the grand plazas and a chance to see street tango and buy a football shirt.
A day out at a traditional gaucho estancia on the pampas, with horseback riding, folk music and dancing, and a hearty Argentine barbecue, a hit with the whole family.
You fly north to the subtropical jungle and Iguazu. Settle in and take a first rainforest walk, spotting butterflies, birds and cheeky coatis.
A full day at the mighty Iguazu Falls, walking the catwalks to the Devil's Throat and taking a thrilling boat ride right up to the base of the cascades, drenched and exhilarated.
A morning at the panoramic Brazilian side of the falls, then a flight south to El Calafate in Patagonia.
A full-day excursion to the immense Perito Moreno Glacier, watching in awe as huge chunks of ice calve thunderously into the turquoise lake, an unforgettable family experience.
A boat cruise among towering icebergs and glaciers on Lake Argentino, or an estancia visit, soaking up the wild Patagonian scenery.
You fly back to Buenos Aires for a final evening in the capital, with time for ice cream, shopping and a farewell dinner.

- Seasons reversed: Argentina is in the southern hemisphere, so summer (December to February) is warm, ideal for Patagonia and the Lake District, while winter (June to August) suits the northwest, the wine country and city breaks
- Patagonia weather: Patagonia is famously windy and changeable even in summer, so pack warm, waterproof layers, a hat and sturdy footwear; the best season for trekking and glaciers is roughly October to April

Is the Iguazu boat ride suitable for kids?
Yes — the boat ride to the base of the falls is a thrilling, safe family favourite, though you will get wet, so bring a change of clothes. There are calmer viewing options too, and we advise based on your children's ages.
What meals are included?
Daily breakfast is included throughout, along with any meals named in the itinerary such as a welcome dinner, a wine-country lunch or an asado barbecue. Argentina's food, especially its beef and wine, is a highlight, so most other meals are left free with our recommendations.
